STEPHEN DANIELS-BROWN

Stephen is a 39-year veteran of public, media, and government affairs, including an eight-year tenure as a communications director with the Washington State Senate and a two-year tenure with the United States Congress as a communications director and senior policy advisor. Stephen and his wife, Celeste, launched Daniels-Brown Communications in 1997. Under their leadership, the DBC team has designed award-winning advertising, branding, and PR campaigns for a wide variety of local, regional, and national clients. Most recently, Stephen served two three-year terms as chair of the AWB HealthChoice Benefits Trust board of trustees. Past board service has included chair of Capital Medical Center’s board of trustees, vice president of the Brigham Young University national alumni board, the Thurston Economic Development Council board of directors, and board member of the Association of Washington Business (AWB). Stephen also served on the Port of Olympia’s Advisory Committee that oversaw the visioning process for the Swantown Marina and other community development projects on port property. He has lobbied the Washington State Legislature on behalf of multinational companies like biotech giant Amgen and influential leader organizations like the Washington Roundtable, comprised of 40 CEOs of Washington’s largest employers. Stephen has provided diplomatic and federal government affairs guidance for West African enterprises Alaffia and Ayeya. Stephen and Celeste have five daughters and 9 grandchildren.

 

CELESTE DANIELS-BROWN

Celeste Daniels-Brown has helped lead DBC since its beginnings in 1997. Prior to forming the agency, Celeste worked as a legislative assistant with the Washington State Senate and House. She also served as an administrative assistant in the public relations department of a regional risk management company based in Lacey. Today, in addition to managing DBC as a partner, Celeste oversees a number of client accounts and provides strategic media planning for advertising campaigns. She is an exceptional project manager providing support and organization to large-team clients in the public and private sectors. Celeste has a long history of involvement with education governance, as a former member of the Olympia High School site-based council and as a board member of the Olympia Education Foundation. She has also led young women's summer camp programs as a volunteer. She's competed in several triathlons which have proven useful in chasing grandchildren when they visit.

 

 

TAWNEE DANIELS-BROWN

Tawnee Daniels-Brown is a 2025 marketing graduate from the University of Utah. Throughout high school and her first year of college, Tawnee worked as an administrative assistant for DBC as her passion for marketing grew. Tawnee brings professional experience in digital marketing and CRM, having completed marketing and research apprenticeships in SaaS consulting and as a marketing coordinator for a national real estate development company. Managing a marketing and sales team, Tawnee created and sent multiple email campaigns to nearly 12,000 investors and multifamily real estate offices, achieving opens and clicks as high as 25% above the market average. She has extensive experience in CRM and database migration, digital sales pipeline construction, website development, and software automation. Tawnee is proud and excited to carry on the next generation of marketing, advertising, and PR excellence at DBC.
